Monica Gentile

Movement & Qi Gong

Monica Gentile is a Dance Artist, Hatha Yoga and Medical Qi Gong Teacher, and Laughter Yoga Leader, whose journey in movement began at age four and has evolved over three decades into a rich exploration of embodiment, healing, and self-discovery. Her approach integrates diverse disciplines—from dance and martial arts to Qi Gong and meditation—inviting others into practices that support vitality, awareness, and balance.


At ASHA, Monica brings her expertise to both one-on-one and group sessions, empowering participants to cultivate their sense of embodiment and rediscover their innate joy and creativity. Known for her gentle guidance and compassionate approach, Monica helps participants build confidence, deepen their connection to their bodies, and embrace each moment with presence and care.

Qualifications & Experience


  • Trained in Classical and Contemporary Dance, with additional studies in Butoh Dance and Contact Improvisation.

  • Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher with 10 years of teaching experience, specialising in movement and anatomy.

  • Medical Qi Gong Teacher with training in Ancient Chinese Medicine.

  • Laughter Yoga Leader and Ambassador, experienced in therapeutic laughter yoga for chronic pain and trauma.

  • Experienced martial arts practitioner (Kung Fu, Aikido) and dedicated meditation practitioner (Zazen and Vipassana).


One-to-One Sessions (1.5 hours)

  • Qi Gong for Vitality Personalised Medical Qi Gong exercises and consultation in Ancient Chinese Medicine


Group Sessions (1 - 1.5 hours)

  • Morning Movement Yoga, Qi Gong, Qi Dance, Moving Joy

  • "Move, Dance, Laugh" Expressive & embodied laughter & movement medicine

  • “Listening Bodies" with Michael Reiley, focused on sound, movement & somatics

Wellbeing Services Terms & Conditions

Private sessions with our Wellbeing Team are available to support your journey during BreathCamp. Please read the following carefully before booking:

  • Booking: Sessions must be booked at least 2 hours in advance using our online booking platform (details provided at Reception).
     

  • Payment: Please arrive at Reception 5 minutes before your session to check in and make payment. All payments must be made in cash only.
     

  • Punctuality: Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late may forfeit their session. Sessions are not extended due to lateness.
     

  • Rescheduling: You may reschedule your session 48 hours or more in advance, subject to availability. Use the link in your confirmation email or visit Reception directly.
     

  • Cancellations: Cancellations are not permitted. Missed sessions are non-refundable, out of respect for our practitioners’ time and preparation.
